Welcome to My Very First Blog—The Beginning of an Adventure

Hey everyone! I’m Dave, also known as the Artefact Addict, and I’m beyond excited to kick off this brand-new blog. I’ve been on this journey for a while now—I’ve shared some of my metal detecting adventures on YouTube, and I post lots of quick finds on TikTok. But honestly, there’s nothing like going live—connecting with you all in real time as I dig up history right before your eyes.

I absolutely love those live streams—there’s just something magical about sharing every moment as it happens. Sure, I sometimes dig up buttons or ring pulls, but every now and then, I get lucky—like that hammered coin or a special little relic. Those finds make it all worth it.

So, if you want to come along for the ride, join me most evenings at 8 p.m. GMT for live sessions. I’ll be out there, building my collection, but even more importantly, making memories. My mate Terry—aka Taffy the Detector—joins me, and we have a blast—laughing, joking, and sometimes acting like big kids on the road to our permissions. It’s not just about the finds—it’s about the journey.
