MILLED SILVER COINS

Welcome to My Silver Coin Adventures!

There is nothing quite like the thrill of pulling history straight out of the earth. For me, every single coin tells a story, and finding them brings a truly special joy to my heart.

On this page, you can follow my journey as I hunt for lost treasures. I love finding them all, but I have a huge soft spot for the beautiful silver coins of the George 3rds reign. From worn-out wartime shillings to stunning old silver threepences, each find is a magical link to the past.

I created this space to share that excitement with you. Grab a cup of tea, look through my collection, and I truly hope you enjoy watching me dig up these incredible pieces of history in my videos!

GEORGE 6TH

"A curated display of silver denominations minted during the reign of King George VI (1936–1952). These pieces hail from an era when British coinage retained 50% silver content, just before economic shifts in 1947 brought an end to circulating silver currency. Far from ordinary, each find represents a tangible piece of mid-20th-century history pulled straight from the ground."

GEORGE 5TH

"A striking collection of silver denominations from the reign of King George V. This specific era is highly prized by detectorists because it bridges two drastically different minting standards. Coins found dating from 1910 to 1919 feature 92.5% sterling silver, giving them a brilliant, high-purity luster. Due to the financial strains of the First World War, the silver content was reduced to 50% in 1920, marking a turning point in British numismatic history."

EDWARD 7TH

"A rare and beautifully preserved selection of sterling silver coins from the brief Edwardian era. Because King Edward VII reigned for less than a decade, his coins are a highly coveted and uncommon find under the coil. Every coin displayed here boasts a 92.5% sterling silver purity, minted before the global economic pressures of the 20th century permanently reduced the silver content of British currency. They serve as a gleaming snapshot of an empire at its height."

QUEEN VICTORIA

"A stunning and extensive collection of sterling silver coinage from the historic reign of Queen Victoria. As Britain’s longest-reigning 19th-century monarch, her currency traces the incredible story of an empire undergoing profound transformation. Every coin featured here boasts a 92.5% sterling silver purity, beautifully showcasing the evolution of royal portraiture across her 63-year rule. They stand as a timeless and gleaming testament to the height of the Victorian Era."

WILLIAM 4TH

"A select and historic offering of sterling silver coinage from the brief and transitional reign of King William IV. Serving as Britain’s monarch from 1830 to 1837, his short seven-year rule makes his currency a highly sought-after addition to early 19th-century numismatic collections. Crafted with a 92.5% sterling silver purity, these pieces capture the masterful right-facing royal portraiture designed by chief engraver William Wyon. They represent a classic, foundational era of British minting right before the start of the iconic Victorian Age."

GEORGE 3RD

"An exceptional array of sterling silver coinage spanning the historic, monumental reign of King George III. Ruling for six decades through eras of global revolution and warfare, his coinage marks a dramatic evolution in British minting, culminating in the historic Recoinage Act of 1816. Minted at the 92.5% sterling silver standard, these surviving pieces feature the iconic, powerful portraits of Britain’s longest-reigning king. They stand as a resilient and fascinating tangible connection to the dawn of the modern British Empire."

INTERNATIONAL SILVER

"A captivating global assembly of silver coinage reflecting the vast reach of worldwide empires, trade, and history. This diverse selection spans continents and eras, featuring a Victorian Canadian 10-cent piece, a worn vintage coin from the era of Napoleon, a mid-century Elizabethan Canadian dime, and a beautifully struck silver piece from British India under George V. Struck to the distinct precious metal standards of their respective nations, these coins showcase how different cultures and rulers utilized silver to project power and facilitate commerce. They serve as a fascinating, tangible map of global economic history."
