Metal Detecting UK: Week of Georgian Coins + Stunning Horse Boss
Find of the week a Victorian Horse Boss

What a stunning find! I dug this up while metal detecting on a relatively quiet, wet autumn night on the outskirts of Brecon. I was using my trusty Minelab Manticore—absolutely love this beast, fair play, it doesn't mess about! This stunning artefact appears to be copper and was a high conductor on my VDI. It was so quiet this evening that it was a really welcome addition to the evening stream on TikTok Live.
No Silver finds
This is the first week in a long while where I have found no silver, but I really shouldn't complain. Finding the stunning horse boss and some beautiful Georgian coins is definitely enough. It really goes to show that the randomness of the hobby is extreme. There will be many more "no silver" weeks to come, I am sure, but I'm over the moon with what I've found. They are absolute bangers and make for a good few display finds!
Georgian Coins and Lead Bottle Tops
Annoyingly, Georgian coins mostly come out of the ground 100% toasted. Because of that, getting some with a bit of detail left is always nice, at least so they can be properly I.D.'d. When you look at my finds overall, it's not actually that bad, so I guess it's a win regardless! If there are copper Georgian coins around the beautiful Silver Bull heads will follow.
