Hey everyone! I’m Dave, though you might know me online as the Artefact Addict. If you follow my metal detecting adventures on YouTube or catch my quick finds on TikTok, I'm thrilled to welcome you to my brand-new blog!
While video is great, nothing matches the raw excitement of digging up history. For me, the real magic happens during our live streams. Connecting with you all in real-time as a centuries-old hammered coin or a hidden relic emerges from the dirt is an unmatched feeling. Sure, we dig up our fair share of buttons and ring pulls, but those rare, golden moments make every single signal worth it.
This hobby is about the treasure, but it’s even more about the community and the memories. Most evenings at 8 p.m. GMT, you can find me live-streaming my hunts. My mate Terry—better known as Taffy the Detector—frequently joins the chaos. Together, we hit our permissions, laugh, joke, and honestly just act like big kids on an adventure.
